We live in a lovely town called Beavercreek. A while back, they celebrated the town's 25th anniversary by commissioning 25 "Beaver Art Sculptures" placed around the town. They all have the same shape (a large standing beaver), but are decorated differently depending on where they are placed.
With our impending departure to Alaska in a few months, Hubby had a great idea -- finding all the beavers and taking family portraits with them! So yesterday, armed with tripod and camera, off we went! We found 4 to start with. We only know of 1-2 more for sure, so this week I'll be calling the Chamber of Commerce to see if I can get a list.
BTW, it is no small miracle that LB decided to look at the camera in every picture and even smile in some! We think he was fascinated by the blinking light on the camera's timer...
Our final find of the day was definitely Hubby's favorite: "Air Force Beaver" outside the old recruiting station:
We took some close-up shots of this one -- he is in full Air Force uniform, and his nametag reads "General Beav." Close friends and family of ours will understand the significance of that! ;-)
So ends the Beaver Hunt, Part I. Stay tuned for more...

there is one on Indian Ripple at a drive-thru. It's just east of the Vineyard Church. It's across from the Speedway gas station. Good luck-
