Talking, teeth, and other stuff

SO much has happened since my last post!

First of all, LB is ON THE MOVE. Not exactly crawling, but he can roll and crawl backwards like lightning! He seems to be driven by some unseen force to Hubby's laptop and the Bose system cords next to the TV. Oh well, boys and their toys! He now knows what "No" means!!

He is talking up a storm, too. We are up to "Dada, Mama, Baba (bottle)" plus BS's name, and he even says his own version of "thank you" (tak-000) which he uses when we bring him a toy or food -- so cute! The other day, he must've had gas, because he let rip this HUGE burp and then said, "Aah. Tak-oo." Hubby & I were rolling on the floor laughing!

BS has also cracked us up lately. She watched an episode of "Sid the Science Kid" about exercise, then she and LS jumped around and "exercised" for about 15 minutes. Then she ran over to me, flexed her bicep, and said, "Mommy, are my muscles big and strong yet?" Ummm, not yet dear. Keep working at it.

On the way home from church she said very seriously and dramatically from the back seat, "Mommy, we learned that when Jesus was on the cross, he suffered." I was about to be impressed with her burgeoning spiritual maturity when she then said, "Mommy, what's suffer??" Oh well. Another object lesson!

I think I mentioned in a previous post that BS was renamed "shark baby" because of the new tooth growing up behind her bottom teeth...well, it loosened a front tooth, and her tooth fell out tonight at dinner!! We couldn't believe it!! My first baby has lost her first tooth, a mere seven days before her 5th birthday. When the tooth loosened, we headed off to Joann's and picked out fabric to make a tooth fairy pillow (and one for LS, who didn't want to be left out). Here's a pic or two:

Note that BS picked demure pink for her fairy pillow, but LS picked fire-engine red satin. Wonder if that's a portent of anything to come??
BS can't wait to put her tooth in the pocket for the fairy, but we decided to wait until tomorrow night so Daddy can be home, too.
LS continues to eat her dinner, most of the time, and GROW. She has been powering through some 60+ piece jigsaw puzzles lately, which she is pretty proud of. She tried some of BS's 100 piece ones, but loses interest about a third of the way through. She is also very much into trying to "read" like BS does...I think the fact that big sister can already read is really fueling her interest in books. Whatever works!!
I know there was more I wanted to post about, but my brain is toast and there are still two loads of laundry to be folded before I go to bed, so I should get to work!!

I hope BS was excited and not tramatized by loosing her first tooth! :o) Don't worry about tonight; I'm glad I remembered before 5 today!
